Rich Fibrous Malachite 82g
Quantity:
This is a rare, rich, lustrous green Botryoidal Malachite from Mindingi Mine, Congo. A botryoidal texture or mineral habit, also known as mamillary or reniform texture, is when the mineral has an external form composed of many rounded segments.
Malachite is a copper carbonate hydroxide mineral in the monoclinic crystal system, and most often forms botryoidal, fibrous, or stalagmitic masses, in fractures and deep, underground spaces, where the water table and hydrothermal fluids provide the means for chemical precipitation.
