Sparkling at high-altitude in Pakistan’s Shigar Valley, two transparent topaz crystals (largest ≈ 24 mm) rise from a sculptural corridor of bladed cleavelandite (albite variety) and bronzy muscovite sheets. The orthorhombic prisms display razor-sharp faces and subtle cognac zoning that glows under strong light. Muscovite stacks reflect like metallic pages, while the feldspar matrix offers pillowy contrast.
