Lavender Apatite & Ice-Topaz on Smoky-Quartz Steeple 66.25g

This hand-sized miniature captures the chemistry dance of a high-elevation pegmatite pocket. The focal smoky-quartz spire (32 mm) rises with sharp, hoppered faces dusted by micro-hematite “snow,” its translucent body shifting from café-smoke to gun-metal grey. At its base, a bevel-edged, colourless topaz (17 mm) sits like frozen water, displaying textbook basal cleavage flashes. The chromatic accent comes from a hexagonal, lavender apatite platelet (12 × 10 mm) whose satiny lustre contrasts beautifully against the albite matrix. Scattered strings of acicular black schorl tourmaline and feldspar laths complete the alpine palette. No repairs, just naturally intergrown elegance at a mere 66 g.
